Last December I published an interim edition of a new book, “Some Of My Birds”, to celebrate the bird life of West Cumbria to which I had first been introduced through walking for exercise during the Covid pandemic lockdowns. It was not intended as the final edition, but produced in paperback format as gifts for family and friends.

I am now working (from time to time, as there are other priorities) on a second edition, probably around 160-180 pages and in hardback. However, something else is coming first, and the cover design is shown here.

My hope is to produce a series of little 36-page paperback books on individual species of bird, containing some of the best of my photographs along with information about the birds.

The first, about Britain’s favourite bird, the Robin, is now at the stage of printing proof copies and I hope to have it available on Amazon, priced £4.99 and an equivalent in the US, within two to three weeks.

Look out for this  one, and also for further titles in the series: “My Little Bird Books”
